Instructions:

To start:

1. 1. Go to http://www.cobbk12.org and click the Parent link at the top. Then click Office 365 sign in. You will need to sign in with your Office 365 login ID (typically it is firstname.lastname@students.cobbk12.org; you can check your Synergy under student information to be sure) and your password (this is your regular school password). 
   2. In Office 365, open a Word document and use the instructions below to type your letter

Letter of Introduction Instructions

Below are suggestions about what you can include in your introduction. You don’t have to include all of it (the list is pretty long) but it’s something to get you thinking. 

You can write it however you choose – a straight forward typed letter perhaps, or maybe something you create online and include photos to illustrate it. Whatever you prefer and whatever works for you. 

What to include (you don’t have to include it all):

Things you can include: 

• How would you describe your personality? 

• How do you like to be treated? 
• How is it easiest to get along with you? 
• Something about your family. 
• Places you have lived. 
• Your interests outside of school? 

• Do you speak another language? 
• Do you have a favorite pet? 
• Do you have a favorite animal? 
• Do you travel and if so where have you gone? 
• Do you have a job (what do you do and do you LIKE it?)? 

• Do you have any special talents you are proud of? 
• Do you play sports? 
• What do you think are your strengths and weaknesses? 
• What are your interests at school? 
• Do you like to read? What genres do you like? What is your favorite book? 

• Do you like movies? Favorite genre? Favorite actor? Favorite movie of all time? Do you have a guilty pleasure movie? 
• Do you like music? 
• What is something you are MOST proud of for yourself? 

Academic information: 

• How do you learn best in school? 

• What are your goals for this class? 
• Favorite class ever? Why? 
• Favorite teacher ever? Why? 
• Favorite topics to study? 
• What are your expectations for this class? 

• Do you have any specific learning needs I should know about? 
• What do you like or hate to be evaluated on in class? 
• Biggest pet peeve from teachers (what do you HATE when teachers do)? 
• Favorite trait of teachers (what do you LOVE when teachers do)? 

After high school? 

• What are your goals for after high school? 
• What do you want to do in the future? 

 

To post:

1. In the upper right corner of your Word doc you will see a share button. Click it. 
2. Where it says “People you specify can edit”, click that
3. You will see “People in Cobb County…”, click that
4. Now click Apply
5. You will see “Copy Link”, click that. This automatically copies your link for you. 
6. Now click this link to open the submission form.
7. Fill out your name and in the paste field, paste the link you copied.
8. Press submit and you are finished!
